A Smorgasbord of Ideas with a Mexican Flair

The following recipes are ones I have enjoyed serving
Sombero Spread
Serve with chips
Ingredients:
  • 1/2 can of refried beans
  • 1/2 lb. ground beef cook drained and crumbled-can substitute sausage
  • 1/3 cup chopped onion
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1-1/2 TB. chili powder
  • 1 medium jar chunky salsa
Directions:
  • Brown ground beef or sausage with onion,drain and crumble
  • In a saucepan heat 1/2 can refried beans, chili powder, salsa
  • Stir in cheese and meat and heat slowly till almost bubbly
  • Transfer to a serving bowl-serve with a spoon
Best Ever Margaritas
this recipe is for one
  • In blender crush several ice cubes
  • Pour three shots- 1oz. each of Margarita mix into blender
  • Add 1 shot of Tequila
  • 1/2 shot Grand Marnier and 1/2 shot Cointrau
  • Blend on high to mix well
Comment: I recently tried Mr & Mrs.T Margarita mix and thought it was great
Also have found that using better quality tequila really does improves the taste
