Spring Scavengers

You would have thought this sign was a huge billboard in our front yard today. Dozens of robins swooped, soared, jumped, pranced, danced and even banged against the window pane. It seems there was some sort of party going on and crab-apples were the main attraction.

This one seemed to be the leader.

These robins did not waste a minute plucking and stuffing their mouths enjoying every morsel. It was quite a sight. 
Lucky they did not run into this menacing looking turkey group the day before crossing the yard past the crab-apple tree. These birds didn't even stop to peck a morsel on the ground.  They looked to be on some sort of mission.
