Well, my husband and I did not hesitate for even a second when our next-door neighbors offered us a generous slice of this delicious pie. Really who can say no to a chocolate offer. It was such a kind gesture.
No Bake Chocolate Pudding Pie
Cook's Notes: It was noted by the baker that Oreo cookies were not available when she made the pie. I must say using Chocolate Teddy Grahams for an Oreo crust was quite a creative substitution.
Ingredients:
- 1-1/2 cups finely crushed Teddy Bear Grahams or Regular Oreo cookies not the Double Stuff ones (use a food processor for this step or an electric food chopper)
- 6 tablespoons butter
- 1/3 cup sugar
- 1 package of instant chocolate pudding
- 2 cups of heavy cream
- Crushed cookies for topping
- Optional idea, 2 tablespoons of Kahlua
Directions:
- Mix crushed cookies or Teddy Bear Grahams with melted butter and sugar.
- Press into a regular-size pie pan and refrigerate for 45 minutes.
- Blend together heavy cream and chocolate pudding and beat for 2 minutes. If adding in Kahlua add in at this time. Add chocolate mixture to the chilled pie crust. Sprinkle with crushed cookies or crushed Teddy Bear Grahams.
- Refrigerate the pie for at least one hour before serving.
HOW EASY IS THAT!
Thank you, Bonnie and Paul
