The Day of the Dead is a Mexican holiday celebrated in Mexico and elsewhere, linked to the Catholic observances of All Saints' Day and All Souls' Day. Countries with large indigenous populations celebrate it on November 1 and 2.
People create altars to remember family and friends, with prayers and traditional dishes served as part of the celebrations. In AZ, many communities hold celebrations and remembrances.
