Back to School- Breakfast Boosters

Fuel up-Start your day with some healthy choices
Blueberry Quinoa Parfait
Blueberries are superstars as they contain the unique, phenol-like antioxidants pterostilbene and resveratrol. Blueberries are a very good source of vitamin K, vitamin C, manganese, fiber and copper.

Almonds-Make almonds part of your morning routine to keep blood sugar levels on an even keel.
Mango Almond Smoothie Bowl

Rye According to research study published in Nutrition Journal, participants who ate breakfast built around 230 calories of rye crisp reported less hunger  after breakfast versus those who ate white bread and they consumed 56 fewer calories at lunch.  The fiber in the rye may help keep blood sugar levels steady and trigger the body to release appetite suppressing hormones.
Lo-Fat  Cream Cheese and Cucumber Smorrebrod
Smørrebrød—the Danish name for an open-faced sandwich served on rye—it's reminiscent of a cucumber tea sandwich, with a drizzle of honey for sweetness and walnuts for crunch.

Overnight Oats Recipe
Would you believe that one serving of these overnight oats contains nearly half of your daily fiber requirement? Made with old fashioned oats, chia seeds, nut butter, milk and choice of  fruit.

And one of my favorite Booster Breakfast ideas Tex Mex Breakfast Wraps.
They are freezer friendly and part of the recipe (ground beef mixture) can be assembled the night before making this breakfast quick and easy the next day adding in scrambled eggs and rolling it all up in Flat Out (a low carb option). Ground turkey sausage can be substituted for ground beef for a healthier choice.
