Appetizers
when a few small bites will do
Cook's Notes: This cone-shaped appetizer has lots of possibilities. I started with a 6-inch square heavy-duty paper (cardstock). Then I folded it corner to corner for a triangle shape. I used double-sided tape to secure the edges. Starting at the bottom I filled each cone with mixed nuts. I used long wooden skewers adding olives, pickles, olives cubed cheeses, salami, breadstick or could use a pretzel rod for breadsick and then added a few small crackers. And the last but equally special is a bit of chocolate. I used chocolate-covered almonds.
From Amazon I purchased this plastic holder for serving the appetizer cones. It comes in 8 0r 16 holes.

Cook's Notes: when using Tostitos Scoops (Chips) They’re labeled gluten-free and included on Frito Lay’s gluten-free list. Keep in mind that there’s always a number of broken ones in the bag, so if you want a full tray to bring to a party, pick up two bags so you’ll have enough intact scoop chips to use. Also, add guacamole right before serving so the chips don't get soggy.
A timesaver- using store-bought guacamole that is gluten-free. Just be sure your guacamole store-bought or homemade has a good amount of lemon or lime juice so that it doesn’t turn an unappealing brown color as it sits out at the party.
Cherry or grape tomatoes are perfect to give you firm, small slices for these.
Cilantro – a little goes a long way for flavor!
