Candy Cane Hershey Kisses Blossoms
Makes 2 dozen cookies or more depends on how small or large you roll the dough balls
Ingredients:
- Hershey Kisses Candy Cane Brand
- 1 stick of softened butter ( I used 1/4 cup margarine and 1/4 cup butter-recipe called for either)
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 large egg
- 2 cups flour
- 1-1/2 tsp. vanilla
- 1/4 tsp. baking soda
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 2 TB. milk
- red or green sugar crystals
- Beat margarine/butter, sugar, egg and vanilla
- Stir flour, salt and baking soda in another bowl
- Blend flour mixture with egg/butter mixture and alternate with milk until blended
- Put dough in freezer for one hour or refrigerate a few hours till well chilled
- Preheat oven 375
- In a bowl pour out green or red crystals
- Shape dough into 1 inch balls (in photo mine were a bit larger)
- Roll each ball in colored crystals
- Place balls on ungreased cookie sheet
- Bake 8-10 minutes or till bottoms are browned and cookie set
- Remove cookies to wire rack
- After 3 minutes add unwrapped Hershey kiss to each center of cookie
