Friday Favorites

Looking for a quick dip for company? Try Corn/Pepper Appetizer. It's easy to put together and a dip your company will love. You can easily double it to serve a larger group.  Serve with Tostito Scoops or your favorite chips.
Recipe courtesy of Shirley  Johnson.

Ingredients:
  • 1/2 each large green, red and yellow peppers, finely chopped
  • 1/2 cup red onion, chopped
  • 1 can regular whole corn or Mexicorn, drained
  • 1 cup Mexican 4 Cheeses or shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup light mayonnaise
  • Doritos Nacho Cheese Chips
Directions:
  • Mix all ingredients and refrigerate. Just before serving add crushed Nacho Cheese Chips on top.
My husband gave me a bag of Hershey Almonds which then I used the candy to make  cookies. I shared them with a neighbor.
ALERT: We unwrapped a few to make sure their tops were intact. Perhaps you remember the outcry (controversy) before Christmas that Hershey Kisses were missing their pointed tops with no real good explanation from the company as to why. I am happy to report all is good now.

Peanut Butter Blossom Cookies are a classic recipe that never goes out of style. The recipe comes from their cookbook dated early 70's which I still have and at the time of purchase only cost $3.95.

This recipe makes 15 and perfect for sharing.

Looking for another idea for Pay It Forward (Random Act of Kindness)?
I found this card idea that would be easy to make.
Just requires a packet of seeds and cardstock paper. While waiting for the never ending winter to pass its nice to think about spring and planting flowers. Paste the seed packet on the front cover of the card and write your message inside. How easy is that!
