Tall Timber Trilogy:Synopsis
Set in the northern Minnesota logging era of the late 1800s, the stories begin with Daniel Dunn falsely accused of murder and theft. His imprisonment endangers the welfare of his five motherless children. The town’s schoolteacher steps in to care for them, but is forced by the law to marry their father or not be allowed to take them to her home. The only person who believes in Daniel is a preacher who dogs his steps and keeps a running sermon in his ear.

The books continue with Daniel’s children, now grown. The second story involves a kidnapping and a case of misidentification. The third follows Daniel’s son as he flees to a lumber camp and finds there a cook, a young girl who stays hidden in the woods. Family takes on new meaning when they both turn to their heavenly Father.

The titles are: #1 "Greatly Beloved", #2 "Only Beloved", #3 "Brother Beloved".

"A Sweet Voice" and "To See and Know" Synopsis:
Set in the western farmland of Ulen, Minnesota, in the late 1890s, these stories begin with Keane and Jake who have been shanghaied on the west coast. Tortured and beaten, they finally make their escape and return to Keane’s family’s farm. Along the way Jake leads Keane to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ, and Keane rejoices in God’s grace to him, but trouble comes as the evil man from whom they escaped comes after them. Keane’s trust in God falters until he learns the true meaning of forgiveness.

In "To See and Know", Garrett, the son of Jake and Keane’s tormentor, arrives in Ulen and the men fear he is there for revenge against them and plans evil toward their families. The tables are turned when Keane’s daughter overhears a plot to kill Garrett and they all come to his rescue. The families learn how God wants them to respond to the trials they face.
