Santa Approved Cookie Day 4 Cookie Blitz

M&M Cookies

A visit from St. Nicholas or Santa would not be complete unless a plate of cookies and a glass of milk left out for him on Christmas Eve plus carrots for 'Sinterklaas' horse. While sugar cookies are a great choice for Santa these M & M cookies run a close second. 

The easy part of this recipe was following the recipe on the wrapper of Mini M &M's. I emphasize the word mini as the smaller candies work the best for this cookie recipe.  I chose the longer baking time for a crisper cookie. I liked how festive-looking the cookies were on the tray.

Lastly, we were at a local church for a Christmas concert. The backdrop for this holiday performance was beyond stunning with the massive arched windows and the mountains in the background. It seemed like one of those surreal scenes. Since there was so much light coming through the window and in the church it made for a  challenging shot.
